For adult dogs over 100 pounds, add approximately 1/3 cup for every 10 additional pounds. This feeding guide provides a starting point for the amount of food to give your dog each day. We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow them to become overweight. The amount of food your dog needs can vary based on age, activity level or other food and treats given, so be sure to work with your veterinarian to determine an appropriate weight for your dog, and to make any necessary adjustments to their feeding.
Remember to keep plenty of fresh water available to your pet at all times.

When transitioning your pet to a new food, we recommend a gradual introduction of the new formula over a 7 day period. For pets with sensitivities, extend the transition period to 10 to 14 days. Start by adding a small amount of your pet's new food to his or her current food. Gradually, increase the new food amount and decrease the current food amount at each feeding until you are feeding only the new food.

Q: How much copper proteinate per a cup?
3 months ago- A: Hello, thank you for your question. All of our formulas meet both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) guidelines and are complete and balanced. We are dedicated to offering nutritious and safe pet foods that comply with all federal and state regulations. A balanced diet includes trace minerals such as copper, which are essential for growth and maintenance. AAFCO requires a minimum amount of copper in pet food: 12.4 mg/kg dry matter (DM) for growth and reproduction, and 7.3 mg/kg DM for adult maintenance, amounts that our foods do provide.3 months agoHelpful?

Q: Would this be a good food for a 14 year okd german shepherd lab mix? He loves the diamond natruals beef meal formula but seems to have increased gas and softer stool since switching to Diamond from Iams. Ive been told its the grain sorghum causing issues.
2 years ago- A: Thank you for reaching out. Diamond Naturals Senior Dog Chicken, Egg & Oatmeal Formula could be a good fit for your dog. It is formulated with carefully determined protein and fat to meet the needs of aging dogs and does not contain grain sorghum. We are sorry to hear your dog is having a problem with gas. There can be many factors that contribute to gas production, including consuming food too fast and swallowing too much air, intolerance to certain ingredients, and/or a possible disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. We recommend that you consult with your veterinarian if you feel your pet's gas is excessive.2 years agoHelpful?
