The Harris Farms Poultry Watering Nipples allow you to create your own hygienic waterer from your desired water source, typically a plastic container or PVC pipe. Each watering nipple accommodates three chickens. Use these watering nipples with a gravity flow system and do not connect to a pressure water supply. Harris Farms watering nipples must be mounted vertically. Each watering nipple has a 360 degree stainless steel nipple that will work from any angle. To install, drill a 3/8 in. hole into desired water source and screw in the nipple vertically.100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Q: what is the thread size? I would like to add a nut on the inside to seal better. These leak like crazy.
2 days ago- A: Howdy neighbor! The thread size on these Harris Farms poultry watering nipples is a standard 1/8" British Standard Pipe (BSP) tapered thread, which features an outer diameter of roughly 3/8 of an inch with 28 threads per inch. Because these threads are intentionally tapered to self-tap into plastic, adding a standard backing nut on the inside is very difficult and will jam after just a turn or two. Instead of a nut, you can easily stop those frustrating leaks by wrapping the threads with three to four layers of standard plumber's Teflon tape and screwing them into a tighter 5/16" drilled hole.a day agoHelpful?
