- A: Rainwater can get trapped between the bench seats of a Sun Dolphin 12 ft. jon boat because the built-in benches do not have drain channels. The boat comes with a drain plug in the back transom to remove water. However, since no channels are running under the bench seats. Best boat for the money. You will not find a less expensive way to get out on the water. You can just use oars or live it up with up to 6 horse outboard.
