- 1. How do I apply to use my tax-exempt status(s) so that I can make qualifying tax-exempt purchases for my business, company, organization, etc. on TractorSupply.com?
- a. Log into your Customer account at www.tractorsupply.com (if you do not already have an existing account, you will need to create one).
- b. Once logged in, click on “My Account” located in the top right-hand corner of the page below the shopping cart icon, and then click “My Profile” from the drop-down menu.”
- c. Next, click on "View" in the Payment section on the left-hand side of your account page, next to "Tax Exemptions.
- d. Click on the “Add Tax Exemption” button and you will be asked to provide some basic information before being directed to a third-party site to complete your registration.
- e. Once your registration is completed, your tax exemption will be available for purchases at tractorsupply.com
- 2. How long does it take before I can use my tax-exemption(s) on TractorSupply.com once I have completed registration?
- a. Once you complete your registration, you can use your tax-exempt status to make qualifying purchases immediately.
- 3. How do I use my tax-exempt status to make qualifying purchases for my business at TractorSupply.com once I have completed the registration process?
- a. It is very simple! Put all the items you wish to purchase in your cart at TractorSupply.com. During the checkout process click the “Select Tax Exemption” button to select the registered tax-exempt business this purchase applies to. Once you continue through the checkout process TractorSupply.com will calculate the appropriate taxes based on your exemption type and state and federal tax laws. TractorSupply.com will indicate in your shopping cart which items qualify for your tax-exemption.
- 4. I have multiple businesses with tax-exempt status. Can I register all of them under one TractorSupply.com account?
- a. Yes, you can register your tax-exempt status(s) for multiple businesses under one TractorSupply.com account
- 5. I have employees who are authorized to make tax-exempt purchases for my business. Can they create their own TractorSupply.com account and register to use my businesses tax-exempt status?
- a. Yes, they can register on TractorSupply.com and register a tax-exempt status in which they are authorized to use. However, a physical card must be used to place the order. Purchase Orders are not accepted as payment for online orders.
- 6. We have a TSC Business Account and I have employees who are authorized buyers on the account. Can they create their own Tractorsupply.com account and register to use my business tax-exempt status?
- a. All authorized buyers must create their own TractorSupply.com account and register the business’s tax exemption online. Each authorized buyer must also have their own TSC Business Account Card to place an order. If they do not have a card, you must request one for them from Citi Bank.
- 7. What should I do if I receive an error message after attempting to submit my tax-exempt form?
- a. Please attempt to submit using a different browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.). If the issue persists, please Contact Us
- 8. I forgot to add my tax exemption before checking out. Can I apply my tax exemption to an existing order?
- a. We cannot apply tax exemption to Buy Online Pickup in Store orders once they have been placed. However, the Store can assist with adding your tax exemption at pickup.
- b. For orders that are being shipped, we can only apply tax exemptions to orders within an hour of order submission. Once the order has been processed, please Contact Us for assistance.
- 9. How can I obtain a copy of the tax exemption certificate that was submitted online?

- 11. Why was my tax exemption certificate rejected?
