Meet Carol J. Alexander

Homesteading Guest Author

Image of Carol J. Alexander

Carol J Alexander grew up watching her mother and grandmother “make do.” Gardening and preserving were a way of life. Gleaning from the local apple orchard, raising pigs, and filling cellars and freezers with the bounty fed hungry bellies through the winter months.

As a homesteading, homeschooling mom, Carol put all those life lessons to use with her own family. And she wrote about her experiences as well. She is the author of Homestead Cooking with Carol: Bountiful Make-ahead Meals and her writing has appeared in numerous print and online publications.

Currently, Carol writes home improvement content for Fixr.com during the day and pursues personal writing projects by night. When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
