I read a lot of reviews on here for these insulators before purchasing and I was so nervous to get home and have them all break on me while installing. Let me start off by saying I have NO idea what everyone else was doing with these insulators to make them break but we didn't have a single on break. Not. A. One. We ran fence all day, purchased 20 bags of these bad boys and not a single insulator broke while installing. We found these insulators to be hardy and able to withstand tensioning. I will say some cons we found: -They can be hard to put on at first, you need to get in the groove with them. If you're doing a lot of forcing then you're not putting them on right, figure out how to get them to go on and you won't have any issues. - We didn't realize there was a "top" when we first started putting them on so we had to go back and take them all off and flip them. Make sure you look closely for the imprint that tells you which way is "up". I suspect that the people who broke 50% of the insulators while installing either purchased them a long time ago and let them sit around forever and lose elasticity OR they're the kind of folks who like to hit stuff when it doesn't work for them. If you install them with some common sense and patience then you should be just fine, don't listen to the haters; these insulators are not a waste of money.

I went through 100 insulators yesterday and this morning and 91 percent broke during installation. The break occurs in the acute angle between the two hooks. I am using standard 1.25 lbs T-post, not the larger 1.33 lbs T-post. In attached photo, left one broke at 35 degrees temp and right was 56 degrees. Last summer about 30 percent broke at 85 degrees weather.
