Q: does it kill chara

1 Answer
  • A: Algi-Cure will control Chara. Treatment effectiveness depends on how dense/tall the Chara beds are growing. Denser beds take multiple treatments with application directly to the algae/plants. With Chara it is recommended to treat partial areas at a time, especially later in the Season.

Q: Is this product safe for channel catfish?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Applied Biochemists® Algi-Cure is a copper algaecide, it can be used with fish in the channel as long as you only treat 1/2 of the channel at one time. The only exception is this product should NOT be used if you have Koi, Goldfish or Carp since they cannot tolerate copper, and it will result in the loss of fish.
