The chain hoist doesn’t operate smoothly. Its hard to pull the hoisting chain. The hoisting chain is very small and hurts your hands to operate. The chain hoist is saturated in oil so keeping your hands clean to operated it is impossible. I would not recommend this hoist. I regret buying it.

    Does exactly what I bought it for. I was looking to pull a 4.6 out of an 04, it it handled that very nicely. That motor is very near 500 lbs. Im not sure i would feel super confident around 1500 lbs. I hadnt noticed a locking feature for pull chain. I did feel like that was an opportunity for the manfacturer. I just used an old carabiner to help secure that chain. Totally worth the money imo.

    Chain hoist works great.

    Yes, when you get it, use your gloves, it is oily. On first lift, it did hang up, would back off and go forward (up) and was OK. Snagged about 3 or 4 times but, now works great, have used it 3 times with no problem, lifts a heavy load really easy, I am really satisfied with it. Think it was just a little stiff from the package and shipment, now that it is limbered up, works great. Wish I had made the purchase a long time ago but, did not know it was available.
