Q: Can this be used to rough grind rock in a tumbler

      1 Answer
      • A: Howdy neighbor! While Black Diamond Medium Blasting Abrasives can technically be used in a tumbler, it is not recommended for a rough grind because the coal slag material breaks down too quickly and is not hard enough to efficiently shape rocks.

Q: Is this one able to etch glass mason jars and not peel off the stickers that are on them

      1 Answer
      • A: The Medium blend will be far too aggressive for this application. The Fine blend might work on the glass but would likely remove the stickers. We would recommend testing a small area if possible.

Very good price, but it doesn’t flow as good as sand for blasting. Can’t use sand anymore due to health hazard.

      Black label/tank substrate-

This is my second purchase of this for substrate in a 55 gallon aquarium! So affordable, I fill a 5 gallon bucket about 4 inches from the top and let water rinse throughout until water is clear and no longer showing any film on top, then I place it into the tank with a scoop. 1 bag was enough and it looks so good!

      Yes, I recommend this product.
