This BLAZE 100 Ft. laser measure is a fully featured tool with a brighter graphic display and new user-interface design for easier measuring. The graphic display illuminates numbers with distinct resolution, for work in low-light or no-light conditions and better readability. The display features intuitive icons, big-number mode and upgraded contrast to make it easier to read. The user-friendly layout features two-button operation: one for measuring, one for rounding. The rounding button is a unique function that allows user to easily round the measurement result from 1/2 In. up to 1/32 In. It has default real-time measurement mode, immediately providing accurate measurement that automatically adjusts closer to or farther from the target. The laser measure features an enhanced user interface, including a click wheel for easy setting and function navigation. Its keypad design includes a standalone recessed measuring button, to make it easy to distinguish just by feel. The grip is slimmer, making the laser easier to handle. This compact measurer is easy to carry and fits in your pocket. It features full rubber overmold housing, which helps protect every major point, with a design similar to a roll cage.

No Clickwheel

There is no click wheel in the GLM100-23. Even in the diagram the clickwheel text doesn’t point to anything

The GLM100‑23 does include a “Click Wheel” interface, but it’s important to note that the click wheel is a software feature, not a physical wheel or button. The Click Wheel Interface is designed to simplify menu navigation and setting adjustments on the display. To access it, press and hold the Rounding button (button 9) for more than one second, and the screen will open a circular “click wheel” menu showing all available units of measure (in., ft., metric, etc.), which you can scroll through digitally on the display. We understand how the diagram wording can be confusing at first glance, and we appreciate you calling this out so we can help make the feature clearer. Not Worth It if FREE

Bosch GLM 15 Laser Distance Measure and it was a MUCH better design, and MUCH more dependable to use. This one, the GLM100-23 Blaze, is very poorly designed in the following ways:
1. The raised button for changing the accuracy, which is just below the red arrow button, is just too easy to hit instead of the red button when you start and stop a measurement, because you are looking for the red laser dot to ensure you're taking the right location. This device needs to be able to be used "blind"; You don't want to also look at the device to see that you're hitting the right button, you're doing it by feel, and the raised dot for the accuracy change is too danged easy to hit. It wastes a tremendous amount of time. The GLM 15 had no such problems.
2. The spring that holds the battery is not strong enough to maintain electrical contact when the unit is bumped, or perhaps something else is loose in it, because the thing turns off randomly when in use, so it is a frustrating pain the rear to use. The GLM 15 had no such problems.
3. The GLM 15 would save the previous reading, so it was easy to compare two successive readings, which I found was something I do quite frequently in the field. This GLM100-23 Blaz does not save the previous reading - so you end up jotting down the number, which wastes time, and is frustrating when I had gotten used to the GLM 15.

No longer turns on

Hasn’t even last 3 years of very minimal homeowner/DIY-er usage. Manufacture date August 2023 and believe it was received as a Christmas gift in 2023, but used sparingly over the past 2 years. Always seemed to have “low battery” when using and after replacing with brand new batteries it won’t even turn on anymore. Very disappointed with the quality of the product and would recommend looking at a different model/brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.
