I wish I could give negative stars! There’s nothing I like about this “torch” lighter. When I finally got butane in the lighter, which only took about an hour and frozen spots on my hand from the lighter not mating with the refill bottle. I thought something was wrong with my refill bottle so I tried on another refill lighter and it worked perfectly. I finally got it filled and after rubbing a blister on my thumb from repeatedly pushing the button only to get a click and a very faint spark, it finally lit! But only about a 1/8” flame that went out after about 2 seconds. That flame wouldn’t melt a candy wrapper much less heat shrink! I went ahead and threw it away because it would only take up room in my junk drawer for years until I threw it away and!

I sure hope Tractor Supply quits carrying this utter piece of junk (I unfortunately cannot find my receipt to return it). It is correct that when you fill it butane will leak (thankfully I was wearing gloves or I would have frozen my skin). It is impossible to tell if the clear "lighter" is lined-up with the nozzle on the inside of the torch. I tried lighting it over 50 times -- including trying to use a flame from a small Bic lighter -- to ignite the torch. Nothing happened... ever. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Didn't work for me to bad would of been convenient using regular lighters for torches when needed I might return it to see if I can get one that works

Take the $20 bill you're about to waste on this item, and light it on fire. You'll get more heat out of that then you will out of this piece of junk and save a few dollars in the end. I tried filling the cartridge by pressing the plastic tube of the butane bottle against the hole in the bottom. That was my best guess, as there were no instructions provided. Half the butane was going in, and half spraying all over the room and my hands.To my surprise, the "torch" lit after 10-15 tries. It burned for 10 seconds and went out. I got tired of messing with it, and tired of spraying myself with butane, so I gave up. I felt as if I must have been doing something wrong until I read the reviews here and other sites on the web, this product is a true rip off and should be discontinued and customers should be reimbursed.
