Product specs and description here state that this item is 8cr steel, cold steel lists it as 8CR, and authentic models, indeed, are 8CR. Cold steel does not have any listings of this or previous versions ever being anything other than AUS8 or 8CR. I received a 420stainless steel version, which 420? 420J?420HC? I believe that the TSC I shop at ended up with a batch of counterfeits, or TSC has an unlisted lower spec model being made exclusively for them, but just used the default description and specs for the standard version of this product. I will be reaching out to TSC customer service and have already reached out to coldsteel/gsm outdoors. Package does indicate the materials, but as I was only aware of 1 blade steel being available and this ot being it, and aware of what the knife was supposed to be, I didnt look at description.

not super sharp out of the box, seems sturdy its light when carried on a belt (does not attach to a belt out of the box some modifications required) it does weigh on your neck when worn all day, the handle is small but very comfortable, easy to wear

Great edc blade. Durability of a fixed blade but still small and light. I got a nice edge on it too
