CountyLine 15 gal. Economy Spot Sprayer, Boxed

This looks to be made by Fimco but tank is a much better design than the last couple I’ve had. I use these for spot weeding in the vineyard and they don’t last forever. The 15 and 25 gal Fimco branded ones have a tank outlet to the suction side of the pump with 3/4” hose threads. Inconvenient to get to so you can clean out the strainer and very prone to snapping off and ruining the tank. The last 3 of them went that way The County Line one has a pump suction line that goes through a hole in the top of the tank and has a proper cleanable strainer on the end. The spray wand isn’t as beefy as the older Fimco, but it’s much lighter. Probably wont hold ip to being driven over but is easy to use. Has a decent spray pattern Very happy with the purchase

The first time I used the sprayer the hoses were leaking. I tightened the hose clamps up the leaks stopped. The second use everything worked great. Then the third time use the pump stopped working. So i did a visual inspection and noticed that the 4 screws holding the pump mounts to the top of the tank had backed out and causing the pump to just vibrate and bounce around. Thighted those back up and it still wouldn’t turn on. So I then went in to do more diagnostics. I tested power from the clamps on the batter to the the switch and then to the first fuse power and fuse checked good. Then proceeded down the wires and tested back the second fuse power and second fuse was good. Okay went even further so now I have to take the pump it’s self apart. That’s when I then noticed the screws on the pump itself had backed out also at this point I’m aggravated. So I then take the pump apart to continue chasing where my wire is not getting a positive feed. Once I get the pump apart I found that the wire inside on the back of the pump broke off due to a poor wire soldering from the manufacturer. I will put it this way the shoulder they put on the wire and the terminal was only the size of the tip of a pen. So the positive side broke off the negative side was still holding but it was unacceptable to me so I went ahead and cut the negative side off as well then used female terminals on both the negative and positive side back onto the terminal leads with heat shrink over the ends and solder for better security hold on the wires. And by the way the positive wire was just a little too short it was rubbing on the pump motor and would have shorted out soon so I hade to extend it about 1”. I then put it all back together then took everything stupid screw I could find and used blue lock tight to keep them from backing back out. With all that being said I have seen many reviews where people have had the same pump issues not working. I looked a new pump up its $35 on tractor supply website under replacement parts. No $35 isn’t bad for a replacement pump until it does the same thing and it’s never a winning battle. Save yourself some money and just do a little bit of work for about 30 minutes to 1 hour of your time and do the process I did tighten all your hose clamps pull the pump off and apart and do the solder job with heat shrink then lock tight all the screws and you want have a issue or keep waisting your money on pumps. I have now had this sprayer work flawlessly with no issues.

I should have known better, I already has one of these small pumps fail previously after a few months. This pump ran, but only pumped when the pitch got deeper. However, it didn't last but a few seconds. I didn't get more than a minute of total spray. My advice, buy the more expensive model.
