1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. DeWALT does not provide an official expected lifespan for the DXCM303 pump. However, oil-lubricated compressors of this size and design typically last around 1,000 hours of operational use with proper maintenance. The DXCM303 also comes with a 2-year limited warranty on the pump, which covers defects in materials and workmanship, giving added peace of mind for long-term use. To maximize pump life, follow recommended maintenance such as regular oil changes and operating within the recommended duty cycle.

Definition of poor quality and lack of support

First and foremost this is a LONG REVIEW. This was purchased based on the specifications advertised and the need for a higher flow rate and pressure to run some of my aur tools. 1st compressor - severe leaking at tank outlet at pipe going to the pressure cutoff switch manifold on the too of the tank on first use. Returned. 2nd compressor defective right out if the box - tank cut off pressures set at 150 instead of 175. Output pressure max 130 psi instead of 150 psi. Gauge assembly put on crooked from factory. Returned. 3rd compressor ordered in brand new to try again. Tank cut off pressure correct at 175 psi - output pressure with regulator max open - 120 psi. Tractor supply was AWESOME in trying to get a working compressor. MAT industries - who manufactures this compressor for DEWALT has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL on this product. Already have 12-15 hours of my time and 120 miles of back and forth travel to replace this out and still unresolved 3 weeks after purchase. BEWARE OF WHAT YOUR BUYING. Its a nice compressor for the price. The problem is the pressures your getting on the output appear to be far different then the product is being advertised as. A 55 pound drop across the regulator is absurd. The customer service tech at MAT industries confirmed 3 compressors all not in spec or defective. Again this was straight out of the box and on first tank charge after 1/2 hour break in procedure - with nothing hooked to it. Dewalt support was no where to be had with nothing more than a canned initial email stating I would be contacted by a representative in 24 hours. RADIO SILENCE after a week of initial contact. I thought MADE IN USA was the gold standard. DEWALT has fallen on its face in regards to any input at all and Dewalt should rethink what manufacture they utilize where their name is being placed onto a product represent quality. In this case - having 3 for 3 brand new out of the box units with so many issues indicates to me the severe lack of quality control being implemented to ensure a safe and reliable product leaving the factory. All I can caution is BE WARY of the pressures your getting on this unit. The manual states that the regulator is a high flow MAX 150 psi pressure and it looks like what is real world is 120-130. The “Red” compressor this replaced out never gave me an ounce of trouble in 25 years of use. If it worked correctly at the start I would have give 5 stars. It seems to be a very nice compressor at face value. But part of the qualities a product is having a company that STANDS BEHIND THE PRODUCT in case of trouble. In this case I was not impressed at all by the customer support provided by Dewalt or its manufacturer MAT Industries in IL. Buyer Beware

Missing oil fill plug

Got compressor home, unboxed, and compressor oil was everywhere inside of plastic that covered compressor in the box. It was a feat to get it back to the house with a borrowed truck. So I went back to store and showed them photos and asked if I could have the plug off of one of the floor models. They said NO! and I COULD ORDER ONE!!!! From there is went to another store and got a 3/8 NPT plug to fit and a xl bottle of degreaser and compressor oil. Will definitely NOT be a tractor supply guy anymore... as far as the compressor..... it runs great now and is as advertised.

Yes, I recommend this product.
