The 5 in. Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander Kit with hook & loop pad has a 3 amp motor that delivers between 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. The separate counterweight reduces vibration and along with the rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows users to get closer to the work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors. o attach dust port to other vacuum systems with 1-1/4 in. hoses, use DWV9000 Universal Quick Connector

Impossible vacuum Attachment

I just purchased Sep 30 2025 it is now January 14 2026 and have had zero luck trying to connect this to one of my shop vacs ! I have to wander why it needs to be this way ! I have purchased every conceivable plumbing reducer fitting and even a DWV9120 adaptor from Dewalt ! I own many Dewalt tools but this experience has truly tainted the love affair ! All I want to do is have a good connection to my shop vac !

I purchased the DWE6423 5 months ago and I loved it. Today it began intermittently slowing down and now it won't even turn on. I generally love DeWalt tools, but not this sander

I should have looked at the reviews before I purchased this Orbital Sander. I have had this for 2 months and the sander pad is falling apart. Have only used the sander for approximately 4 hrs in that time frame. This is very disappointing as I am a huge fan of DeWalt. All of my power tools are DeWalt.
