The Solstice ladies boat shoe is well made with sturdy construction of the leather upper with a breathable material, allowing my foot to not get overheated & sweaty. The sole of the shoe is a flexible, thick rubbery plastic that should protect the bottom of my feet. It’s a little snug, but wearable. I needed a wide width due to the way several broken left foot bones healed, and a little wider would have been better. My right foot felt fine in it, although it’s a bit long since I had to size up for my left foot. So I’m pretty sure the shoes are sized well, but run a bit narrow.
