I am very happy with this. It is heavy and the brackets make things very secure. I did need to drill two holes for the top brackets since the roof mounts would not allow me to use them. No big deal and I recommend this windshield.

this top has plastic windows that are hard to see through, plus the top doesn't fit very good. This is top that was recommended but it is not a real good fit, it works but I have had to make a few adjustments, so it fits.

Don’t waste your money. No instructions and very cheap. Sent back n got total refund. Not a good brand product.

Windshields for ATVs are made with a hardened plexiglass. Some are a bit more fancy, but choosing one normally is done to satisfy the users needs. I had a windshield on my Kawasaki 4010 which deflected the elements very satisfactorily, however it blocked us from using the storage compartment. So when the old windshield finally became scratched and discolored, I decided to replace it with one with a hinged lower section to facilitate storage access. I chose Extreme Metal Products Flip-Up, model 10498 because of the price and because it was sold by Tractor Supply Company with whom I’ve been doing with for many years. When it arrived the hinge was missing, and the manufacturer quickly shipped one to me, and that’s when I discovered a huge problem. The connection on both sides of the PLASTIC hinge was three rows of facing plastic teeth into which the upper and lower windshields are to be inserted. The instructions say it is difficult to do, and it is, but is doable. The problem lies in the fact that the windshields are SMOOTH and there are no recessed channels which would allow the teeth to attach in three rows and allow the hinge to fasten. Before I even had the opportunity to mount the assembled windshield to my ATV, the upper panel had slipped out. There is absolutely no way it could ever remain together when mounted and the lower section raised. A very poorly engineered product which would be very functional if the plastic hinge were replaced with a simple stainless steel hinge set. Tractor Supply quickly and courteously accepted my return and a full refund was provided.
