[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great loppers. I use to trim rose bushes and cut small branches on a tree. The length is perfect, not so long that it is difficult to control, but not so short that you can't cut branches and are attacked by rose thorns. Used so far for a few mo the and the blade continues to be sharp.

I have an old pair of Fiskars short handled loppers that are my go-to tool. I use them all the time. The blade is getting old and they seem to be discontinued and have been replaced by this lopper, so I bought one. I hate it. The ratchet almost always gets stuck in the middle of the cut and I have to struggle with it. The only way it works is if everything is aligned perfectly but out in the field, working, that is almost never the case. I even showed it to my arborist because I thought maybe I was doing something wrong and he agreed, something is screwed up with the design and it is horribly hard to use compared the the earlier model. Plus, it's heavier — I do a lot of ecological restoration work on large-area natural lands where there's lots of walking and carrying tools which is why I love the earlier model so much — it is so small and light but can cut pretty big things. I'm writing this review because I'm desperately hoping that Fiskars will bring the old model back. And yes, they do have this newer 15" one that has absolutely horrible reviews, even on the Fiskars web site. So that's not an option. Please bring the old model back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How have I done gardening without this?? This is a must to have in your tools if you garden at all. It is very comfortable to use. I don’t even have to force using it because of how well it performs. This has changed my life in how I trim my plants and it is also very safe. Even my 10-year-old daughter has been helping me trim the bushes. 

Excellent loppers, strong, sturdy, easy to use, and affordable.
