Both oil leaks and a slipping chain can usually be addressed, and we would like to help. For oil leaks: A little seepage is normal, but constant dripping is not. This can sometimes be caused by pressure in the oil tank, worn seals, a clogged vent, or a defective oiler. Storing the saw upright, slightly loosening the oil cap, and inspecting or replacing worn seals often helps. For a slipping chain: Chains naturally stretch over time, and tensioning hardware or worn bars/sprockets can also cause issues. Ensuring the chain is installed correctly, tensioned properly, and that all parts are in good condition usually solves the problem. We recommend keeping the oil tank half-full, wiping the saw clean after use, and inspecting key parts regularly.
