This Hobart Stainless ER 308L Welding Wire is an extra low carbon welding wire for the welding of types 304L, 321, and 347 stainless steels. This Hobart welding wire provides excellent notch toughness at a very low temperature, and deposits a maximum of .04% carbon in the weld metal to minimize the formation of chromium carbides and consequent susceptibility to intergranular corrosion. The wire diameter of this stainless steel welding wire is .030 in., and the spool weighs two pounds.

Q: What gas do you use with thiswire?
7 years ago- A: Best choices would be Tri-mix 90% Helium/7.5% Argon/2.5% CO2 or 98% Argon/2% CO2. The Tri-mix is the preferred option but tends to be more expensive.7 years agoHelpful?
