Q: How would I replace just the spicket without diggiging it up the pole.

1 Answer
  • A: The SKU # for the replacement hydrant head is SKU # 1218461. The replacement hydrant handle has a nut on the bottom that connects to the pipe. This just needs to be loosened from the pipe and new one attached. No other adjustments are needed as the replacement head comes pre adjusted.

Hydrant, 4ft

I bought two hydrants. The first failed upon installation. The second worked for two years, then failed. I installed a repair kit and it still failed. Reason for failure is unknown. I liked that the second one worked for two years, but didn't like that I need to break concrete and dig up 3 feet of rocks to replace it. After I dig it up and analyze the cause of failure, I will post my findings.

It was great to get a hydrant in stock, however. . These are not superior quality! Bought 2 in PA and one in KS and all three leaked for a while! Lots of adjustments to get it to work properly!!!!

not as good as they use to be

the long pump rod was too long and the water would not shut off completely, was hitting on the pump handle. the old one i removed had a 3/8 gap. something is wrong with the quality of this pump .i had to fix it myself or take it back, i chose to fix it instead of unhooking it in a 4 ft dirty muddy hole
