The Intex 120V Sand Filter Pool Pump and Saltwater System is an all-in-1 unit that both cleans and sanitizes pool water. This combo pool pump is one of the most efficient, desirable and affordable methods of cleaning pool water. All-natural sand provides excellent water filtration, and with proper maintenance, can last up to 5 years. In combination with a salt water system, which uses the same sanitation technology as many resorts, community and in-ground pools, your pool water will be kept free of bacteria and algae for the ultimate swimming experience. The pool pump works best on aboveground pools that hold a minimum water capacity of 2,600 gal. and a maximum water capacity of 8,500 gal.

- Sand filter; 16 in. tank diameter holds 77 lb. of #20 silica sand (sold separately); 0.3 HP motor
- Hydro Aeration Technology provides improved circulation and filtration, improved water clarity and increased negative ions at the water surface
- Saltwater system; electrocatalytic oxidation (E.O.C.), combined with natural chlorine, destroys organic contaminants such as bacteria and algae; E.O.C. is so effective, the amount of natural chlorine needed and generated by the system is reduced

I do not recommend this product

I used to own this product the salt water system only lasted for four months and I replaced it with a Hayward sand filter system, and that works 10 times better than the Intex

Pressure and intake terrible.

The intake on this is terrible. Nothing ever goes into the filter basket. Am I able to plug the middle intake valve? And just run it filter basket and then output? If I close off the middle intake, then it works perfectly. If I do this, am I going to ruin the pump? It just doesn’t make any sense.

Bought this last year. Chlorinator never worked. Now a year later the pump won’t work.
