Treat your horse's parasitic infection using Panacur PowerPac Equine Dewormer. Complete with 5 syringes of dewormer, this Panacur PowerPac is effective at eliminating even the most dangerous parasites, including small and large strongyles, pinworms, ascarids and more. It works by stopping the parasite's ability to metabolize. This dewormer is administered orally and has a tasty apple cinnamon flavor to encourage acceptance. How it Works
It is suggested that fenbendazole's mechanism works by stopping the parasite's ability to metabolize, therefore inhibiting its ability to maintain its energy production.
Special Precautions
Be cautious of using in conjunction with trichlorfon. Review manufacturer's descriptions and directions before administering alongside trichlorfon.
Overdose Information
Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.
Side Effects
No known side effects
Storage
Store in a dry and cool environment. Do not exceed 75°F (25°C)
Active Ingredients
Panacur® (fenbendazole) Paste 10% contains the active anthelmintic, fenbendazole. The chemical name of fenbendazole is methyl 5-(phenylthio)-2-benzimidazole carbamate.
Tips
In order to avoid reinfestation, routine administrations occurring every six to eight weeks may be necessary. It is advised that deworming initiatives follow this program: December 1, February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1. Contact vet for help with initial diagnosis, subsequent treatment, and information concerning the treatment of parasitic conditions.

5. Now set the dial ring at the graduation nearest the weight of the horse (do not underdose).
6. Horse's mouth must be free of food.
7. Insert nozzle of syringe through the interdental space and deposit the paste on the back of the tongue by depressing the plunger.
To achieve larvicidal dose, administer 1 tube daily for 5 consecutive days.
Horse: Panacur® (fenbendazole) Paste 10% is administered orally at a rate of 2.3 mg/lb. (5 mg/kg) for the control of large strongyles, small strongyles, and pinworms. (10 mg/kg); one syringe will deworm a 1250 lb. horse. For control of encysted early third stage (hypobiotic), late third stage and fourth stage cyathostome larvae, and fourth stage larvae of Strongylus vulgaris, the recommended dose is 4.6 mg/lb. (10 mg/kg) for 5 consecutive days; administer one syringe for each 1250 lb. of body weight per day.

Q: Would you recommend this for the northern Midwest area?
a month ago- A: Hi Neighbor! Panacur PowerPac may have limited effectiveness in the northern Midwest due to widespread resistance among parasites to its active ingredient, fenbendazole. While it is the only FDA-approved treatment for all stages of encysted small strongyles, regional resistance levels make testing necessary before use.a month agoHelpful?

Q: Is this 5 Pack of Panacur available for auto ship? Sorry I didn't specify the product in my 1st question
a year ago- A: Thank you for your question. This is a question that Tractor Supply will have to answer as autoship is up to them, but in looking at the site, it does not appear that autoship is available. Also, if there would be an autoship available, there would not be any discount applied to this specific PANACUR POWERPAC product. Thank you, Merck Animal Health.a year agoHelpful?

Q: Is there a powder?
a year ago- A: Thanks for your question. There is not a powder form of PANACUR POWERPAC. If you're looking for an easier way to deworm your horses, you may want to consider SAFE-GUARD EQUI-BITS, which are a pellet form that you simply pour onto their daily rations. You can find these on TractorSupply.com at: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/merck-animal-health-safe-guard-equi-bits-top-dress-pellets-125-lb. Q: So I am confused, do you dose according to horses weight for 5 days . A 1250# horse needs half a tube each day. Correct ?
7 years agoOriginally posted on SCBT
- A: Hello! For adult horses as a dewormer, one syringe will deworm a 2,500 lb horse and is needed only once. For foals and weanlings it is recommended one syringe for a 1250 lb horse only once. For control of encysted early third stage, late third stage and fourth stage cyathostome larvae, and fourth stage larvae of Strongylus vulgaris, (so an infestation of parasites in the horse) it is recommended for 5 consecutive days to administer one syringe for a 1250 lbs horse per day.7 years ago
