    A: Bruce, no to program your gate to stay open. You can manually leave the gate open by removing the pen that connects the end of the operator that attaches to the gate leaf. The gate is programmed to remain closed.

Q: Is there a way to exit the property through the gate without using a clicker or having to use a keypad. For this price I thought it would automatically open when I pull close to the gate

Q: Why is this not recommended for a gate on a gate wheel?

    A: Linda, the gate wheel will cause drag on the gate and won't allow the gate operator to open and close properly. The gate needs to be mounted on the post, square so they do not bind when opening or closing. Thank you for considering a Mighty Mule automatic gate opener.

    A: Jtil, yes, you can add a MMK200 digital keypad available at TSC item, 1429804. Yes, simply disconnect the operator arms from the gate. Please also consider adding a 2nd FM150 battery when you do your installation, the battery box can hold two batteries. The FM150 TSC item is 3602762.

Great product. Directions are a little misleading. Found that not all accessory parts in some cases are needed with this model. Customer assistance all 3 times were amazing and knowledgeable. Wouldn’t have been able to finish installation without them.
