It leaves you hand free from using a flashlight. So many things that you get from this hat that helps your quality of work. Ergodyne always goes above ans beyond in their materials. Would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've seen a great many lighted hats, but I've never tried one. I usually just strap a headlamp on and go for it. When I got a hold of the 6804 cap, I was surprised at how much I liked it. The hat itself is very comfortable. As a skull cap, it doesn't have a folded cuff that can pull down over your neck, so it isn't the hat I would choose for wandering the great Arctic North, but it should handle the great majority of cool/cold days just fine. As far as the lights go, the only advantage that a standard headlight would have over it is the ability to direct the lights, as these are fixed position. Other than that, the battery pack is tiny and so lightweight that you don't even notice it being there, which is nice for long work sessions. The LEDs themselves are plenty bright, and would serve well for close-quarters working or walking outside at night. This will be a delightfully useful hat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable beanie hat with a useful light. Great for work, hobbies , and projects. Construction workers ,mechanics ,and everyone could use this. It is at the right price point. Havent been able to use it on a jobsite really. When I can , this hat will be useful in low light Construction sites and drop ceilings especially.
