Product is good, store inventory sucks
I had to travel to a different location to pick up the items since my local stores inventory showed three in stock but the actual in stock was zero.
Inventory accuracy counts. The shrink will go to your bottom line and unfortunately you'll pass it on to the customers.

Good cold rolled rod
Had to remove some material on the ends, probably from being dropped or from shipping. I needed it about 4" shorter, so removing an inch or two was required. I checked the rod with a bearing and it was perfect after shortening. The mic said it was 7 or 8 thou proud at the worst, all good an inch from the end.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Steel is real
Well, it's a solid steel rod, so it isn't exactly high-tech or rocket science. I needed some steel stakes for marking out the corners of a landscaping project, so I bought these, cut them into 24" lengths, and ground a point on the end of each 24" piece. I also drilled a hole through the flat end of each 24" piece, so that I could tie a string securely there. These worked very well. In about 40 years, someone will inherit them from me.
Yes, I recommend this product.
