Designed to lock securely into place with a simple pull of a cord, the Nite Ize CamJam is an easy, knot-free way to tighten, tension, and secure lighter loads of all kinds. Made of sturdy, durable plastic, it features a carabiner clip with a stainless steel gate on one end, and a rotating, ridged cam mechanism on the other. Simply anchor the carabiner to any hook, D-ring, or loop, and feed your cord through the cam until you've reached the desired level of tension. Pull firmly, and the cam locks into place and stays that way until you release it by rotating the cam. Easy to use, works well

I use this cord tightener to snug up the tension on the tip of a patio shade sail. It works well, is easy to use. Because it’s plastic, I wonder how it will hold up to UV exposure.

Used to be a great product

I have several of these that I have used over the years, but the last several that I have bought have failed rather quickly. It's always been the cam wheel just coming off while under tension. And there no way to put it back on because it breaks the tabs. Will not buy the plastic ones anymore.

No, I do not recommend this product.
