Honestly, my chickens don't seem to care about it one way or the other lol. But i felt like it was a good value. For my small flock i didn't need a giant bag. This one will last a long time.

Large pieces. Hard as rock. After a young hen became crop bound tried to crush. Could not even smash into smaller pieces with a hammer. Unlike any oyster shell ever used.
