It works very well; however, there is a "blister" on the front finish by the display.

The microwave works great! Much more powerful than my old one. Like the Sensor settings; they work very well. Problem getting the unlock feature to work but I just work around it. Huge problem reading the touch pads!! They are dark gray on light gray. I have resorted to using a flashlight to read them!! If I had seen this oven in person prior to buying, I would have opted for another model. This problem did not show up online when viewing the pictures. I am keeping it because it is too much trouble to uninstall it and return.

I did a considerable amount of research before settling on this Panasonic...it was highly rated by reviewers for its even cooking and sensor. I put aside some of the comments about the poor build quality. I shouldn't have. I took the microwave out of the box, put it on the counter and it wobbled--the legs were not level and required a shim. The next issue was the door--the hinges seemed loose and the door moved up and down when I opened it. There should be no give on the door. Lastly, the button that opens the door was loose and rattled. Within 5 minutes, I decided to return it solely as a result of the lack of quality of workmanship. It may cook wonderfully but I couldn't get by these issues. This isn't Tractor Supply's fault--the product just wasn't well made. I ended up purchasing a Toshiba 1.6 cu 1250 watt microwave and I'm very pleased with it. I think the inverter and sensor features are a must.

I don't like giving poor reviews but there's no escaping it here. I did a lot of research before settling on the S686S. I liked the idea of an inverter and sensor. I took with a grain of salt the negative reviews about quality but I should have paid more attention. I took the unit out of the box, put it on the countertop and I noticed immediately that it wasn't level and it wobbled. The legs are not adjustable so my only option was to put a shim under one side. I then noticed that the unit door had a lot of "give" to it and moved up and down... obviously, the hinges were not tight enough. Same with the button that opened the unit--it was very loose. I just felt the quality was poor and the unit seemed cheap. I unplugged it and put it back in the box and will be returning it. It may work great but if it can't pass the 1st test out of the box, then the rest is meaningless. I had a GE for almost 35 years until it finally died on me...it was a solid, well-made unit. I am disappointed...I had high hopes for this Panasonic.
