This Cold Proof Chicago Hardy Fig Tree is the package deal when it comes to fruiting fig trees! The ripe fruit is medium-sized figs with dark mahogany color on the outside and deep purple inside, the same as Brown Turkey. The lobed leaves have an oblong shape compared to other fig tree leaves. They will die back in winter and this is totally normal. Once the weather warms up, the green leaves will flush out and resume growth in spring.
