- A: Follow the directions located on the label of Prowler Soft Bait. The amount of Prowler Soft Bait needed to control a rat infestation will depend on the severity of the infestation, the amount consumed by the rats, and their feeding behavior. The Prowler Soft Bait label provides ranges for the number of sachets per placement for rats. The label also gives a range for the distance between each placement. Each tamper-resistant bait station can be considered a placement. After placing the bait, close monitoring of the amount of bait remaining will help determine if the number of placements and sachets per placement needs to be adjusted. - A: Unfortunately, there is limited scientific data available regarding "secondary poisoning" of a predatory animal consuming a mouse that died from poison. However, Bromethalin is a different mode of action than many traditional rodenticides - it is an acute active ingredient, so rats & mice do not have to eat as much bait and will have less poison in them when they die.a year agoHelpful?

Rodents won't eat it

I've placed this bait in several spots, bait stations, and even covered in peanut butter. I still have mice and not one packet has been touched.
