RESCUE! WASP . CARPENTER BEE . MUD DAUBER TrapStik utilizes an exclusive, custom pattern of colors to lure target pests. Using visual lures to lure and capture multiple insect species on the sticky surface, this trap is coated with a specialized glue that withstands rain and heat. No poisons, odors or killing agents. Hang vertically for Wasps & Mud Daubers, and hang horizontally for Carpenter Bees. That's Smarter Pest Control.

Q: Can this be used in a dark attic

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. While you can hang a Rescue TrapStik in a dark attic, its effectiveness will be significantly reduced because it relies entirely on visual lures (specific colors and multidimensional patterns) to attract pests. Unlike other traps, it does not use chemical scents or pheromones, so if insects cannot see it, they will not be drawn to it.

Q: Does this product attract honey bees ? I need to get rid of carpenter bees and yellow jackets and wasps because they are killing my honey bees.

1 Answer
  • A: We don't recommend using this product around honeybees because the visual attractant can also be enticing to beneficial insects. We recommend using this product on manmade structures where the carpenter bees and wasps are causing you problems, and not where beneficial insects are foraging or nesting.

Q: Would this be a problem for hummingbirds?

1 Answer
  • A: This is a sticky trap and should always be placed with care. Glue guards are included and provide a barrier from the glue, but we strongly recommend placing this product away from bird and other wildlife activity -- because sticky traps will always carry some risk. We hope this is helpful information, and we're available at info@rescue.com for further questions.

Best sticky trap for flying insects

I’ve been using this trap for a few years now. I hang them in the garage and on the patios. It traps all flying bugs. I’ve been extremely satisfied.

Worthless

I have two mud dauber TrapStik hanging in my shop for 48 hrs. Have caught zero insects! I'm literally watching mud daubers fly within inches of these things and go right on by building their nests.

No, I do not recommend this product.
