Hi, Mikey! We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Green Max Lawn Food and appreciate your feedback. The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass, so you may want to perform a soil pH test. Be sure the correct amount of fertilizer applied for the size of the lawn is applied. If the lawn isn't receiving at least 1 inch of water per week then the lawn will not green up as fast. If the lawn goes dormant, it will not respond. Thatch over a 1/2" thick will prevent product from reaching the ground and reaching the roots. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back.
