Huge disapointment

I followed the application directions to a T, and after 3 weeks and wasting a ton of water not a single area has sprouted. Total waste of time and money, i’ll never buy a Scott’s product again.

Great germination, now half is dead

I had construction at my home so I planted this seed in late March (in PA) on an area approx. 15x8 feet, and watered daily. Germination was great and within a couple of weeks the area was green and growing. The Landscaper's mix had thick, coarse blades and was noticeably different than the Turf Builder Sun & Shade that I typically use. Now four months later the area planted with Landscaper's mix looks terrible with dead patches all over. The small adjoining area where I used Turf Builder Sun & Shade still looks great. I am very disappointed with the Landscaper's Mix. I wanted to try a lower price product but now it looks like the entire area will need to be replanted in the fall with a better product next time.

Worked Great for Overseeding - Hi Desert Calif

I used mine for overseeding.. ran a thorough dethatching first, fertilized and soaked, then overseeded.. first sprouts came up within a week, stubborn ones came a week after that. It looks like about 90% germination after three weeks.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not worth the money.

I bought 3 bags. Prepared the soil following Scott's directions. I was 2 bags short of the amount I needed because I put it pretty thick to make sure I got a good stand. In one week, the second two bags (planted in the back of the house) is up and growing, some with no water. The first 3 bags I bought, (planted in the front and sides) shows absolutely no germination with plenty of water. Same grass, same yard, same prep. I guess the first 3 bags were just old and will not germinate. Hard to believe, but true.

We are sorry to hear about this experience with our Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Landscaper's Mix for Tall Fescue Lawns. We recommend watering 1-2 times per day to keep the seeds moist until seed germinates. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. We are committed to making this right for you. Please contact us at https://tinyurl.com/y8nvfsca and refer to this review so we can further assist you.
