Grow new grass 70% thicker and 35% quicker with Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass. This fertilizer contains a combination of nutrients to help a new lawn grow strong roots. Fertilizer can be applied before or after planting new grass. For best results, apply the fertilizer 2 weeks after seeding. New grass feed can be used whether you're starting a new lawn, reseeding an existing one, or installing sod, sprigs, or grass plugs.

Product would not spread

I bought this product to help with a newly seeded lawn and the fertilizer was all clumped together in the bag and would not work in my spreader. I have talked to others that have had good luck with this product and they told me that it should spread easily. I am worried that there might have been moisture in the brand new bag? Please help

This can happen if there are holes or damage to the product packaging, or if exposed to heat or high humidity during transit or storage. By far the best

I laid sod for my yard, and the first 10 years I tried different products at the start of spring. Then one year, I used this Scotts Sod and seed fertilizer, that was well over 15 years ago, and I assure you, there is NOTHING that works as good as this product! You couldnt pay me to use anything else! If it had 10 stars, I would give it 12!
