A: Hello! Thank you for your question. Snow Guard is an economy grade snow fence. For extreme cold and windy conditions, please consider Tenax Safety Snow or Nordic Plus II.

Not recommended for use as a snow fence

I bought 6 rolls for an area that gets high winds coming over a knoll. I immediately noticed that some of the fence seemed thinner than other rolls. Today we have steady winds of 25mph with gusts up to 45 and I have a section that ripped from the T-post. This will be the third time that I’ve had to repair this snow fence. I only hope that most of it will stay intact until the spring. I will not be replacing this with the same item number at TSC. I’ll be looking elsewhere for better rated material for next winter. It wasn’t worth the savings to go with this product. Do yourself a favor and invest a little more to get a thicker mil fence.
