I have two mixed breed rescues that are majority hound (the blond in photo looks like a lab, but he has a lot of fox hound mixed in). I am not a hound handler and new to owning hounds. I watched videos and worked with them on training, etc. However, they are young and my pups were still running off all the time despite trying other training collars. I do not work my dogs for hunting, but we hike daily. I also live in a rural area on a farm. They were so fast, that by the time I realized they were gone, they were out of range of the other collars I was using. Finally found this great product that immediately changed all of our lives for the better. Within one week, both of my pups were listening and coming back to me - I only have ever had to use the static maybe twice and primarily stick with the beeps. Our latest adventure was camping two nights in western Virginia near Warm Springs. I only used the beep once on my girl. Otherwise, they stayed with the group the entire weekend and we all had a blast! This collar was a game changer for me and them. No more worried days or nights wondering if they are OK or are coming home. Thank you!

I mostly use this if I'm dogs needs a correction on the walk. Level 2. He has the collar beep and I rarely need the correction because he knows.

I would like to choose between audible and vibration without having to reconfigure the whole collar.
