Q: Do I have to pay for a cellular plan or do they connect to them for free how does that work

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. Each camera includes 100 free photos per month. Beyond that, you will need to purchase a transmission plan from SPYPOINT to view media on demand. The Flex-M cameras will automatically connect to AT&T/Verizon networks depending on which has the best coverage in your area.

Q: Will these cameras work in Canada if bought in the US?

1 Answer
  • A: No, a SPYPOINT Flex-M cellular trail camera purchased in the United States is designed to only work within the U.S. and will not get a signal in Canada. SPYPOINT explicitly notes that cameras are region-specific due to pre-configured SIM cards and carrier models. A camera purchased in the U.S. will not work in Canada, and vice versa, as each serial number is linked to its intended country's cellular providers. To use a camera in Canada, you would need to purchase the specific Canadian model, which is configured for local Canadian networks

Junk

I haven't even ran 3 sets of batteries through these and I have 2 failing the exact same with multiple cams failing in first 6 months with over exposure of light. I had to spend 1 hour on phone getting update on the first cam after I had pulled cam and downloaded only to find over 2k failed images. The next time I was able to get to cameras a second cam started doing the exact same thing meaning 2 of these failed in less than 6 months of having these cams. I hate this camera and have spent more time on support and having cameras down then they actually run correctly.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Honestly I’m not a fan

These flex M cameras are not as good as spy points ones they have made in the past the service isn’t very good. The motion sensors even if it’s on high it doesn’t always work. I definitely think there’s some issues they need to work out and it’s really weird like when I bought my very first one it’s synced automatically online and now you have to plug in to a computer the SD card to a computer and update it that way now and put the SD card back into the camera, which makes it even harder for people that put it out in the woods and all of a sudden there’s a new update and their camera is a day or so from their house and their hunting spot and then you gotta turn around and go get it just so you can update your camera. It’s not really user-friendly.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible, false triggers

I bought this for 2025 season and worked great for two months. Now it takes pictures of everything but an animal. This is wasted money when on subscription which is extremely aggravating, when switched to the free version I have 100 photos of no deer or any other animal. Set the sensitivity at all three different levels no change false triggers left and right. Save your money and get something different, I didn’t head others advise online don’t make the same mistake.

No, I do not recommend this product.
