Q: How do you adjust the cutting height?

1 Answer
  • A: From page 7 of the instruction manual: There is approximately 3” of height adjustment. • The cutting height can be adjusted by raising the mowing unit onto a series of supported surfaces such as automotive style jack stands or blocks, etc. This should not be done manually but by a power assisted hoist or floor jack. • Once the unit is safely supported off the ground just enough for the tires to clear the ground you can remove the attaching bolts , nuts and washers ( Items # 3, 4 and 5 shown in FIG 9 on page 14). • Once the hardware is removed you can move the axles up or down to achieve a lower or higher cut and reattach. • Always verify that the axle hardware is tightened securely once reinstalled. https://media.tractorsupply.com/is/content/TractorSupplyCompany/tsc/product/1/24/46/67/1244667_Man1.pdf

The machine itself is a beast. The remote PTO box is plastic/flimsy. Additionally it should have a break away feature in case the cable gets caught on something as it dangles. The wires near the battery should be housed in metal, not plastic tubing. Better yet, the remote PTO should be an option. I would not have chosen it, its just too flimsy/exposed.

Swisher 52” rough cut

This is a beast of a machine, heavy duty. It needs a shroud to protect the wiring and fuel lines, wish there was a shorter remote cable.

Very good, just needs a couple things

Well made. Plenty of power. Needs a stand on the front of mower to support/route control cable to tow rig to insure it does not get sucked under the mower. Switch rear tires to something like front tires of a 2-wheel drive tactor (current side slip too easy)

    Yes, I recommend this product.
