    A: The TMW-56 is adjustable to cut up to 2 x 6 in. boards. This would not be a tool for 6x6 or 8x8 beams.

  • A: It rides on a 2x6 board. This is the worst made piece of junk I ever bought. I had to machine the alignment to make it hold the saw bar inline with the board. Just awful cheap.

Q: What is minimum chain saw bar length for this item?

  • A: The body of the cutting guide should be as close to the chainsaw as you can get it. As long as it fits, there's really no minimum length, but we advise that you shouldn't go under 18 inches.

This tool not only works terribly, it destroyed the bar and chain on my chainsaw and I had to replace. The part that clamps onto the bar does not hold well, resulting in it moving and knocking the chain while it's in motion, thus destroying all the teeth

Cutting Guide Looks Great!

I just received this a few days ago and I have not had a chance to try it out yet. That being said, I like the fit and finish and the adjustment bolts appealed to me.
