Doesn't put out as much smoke as other pellets but

The burn rate and consistency you get with respect to slow cooks is top notch. Oh, and the flavor is pretty awesome---not overwhelming---but just smoky enough. If you want more of a smoke flavor, get a smoke tube and add in some hickory pellets. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is TS doesn't indicate what hardwoods are in the blend.....

I like the price and would have given a 5 if Tractor Supply would put what and which of the hard woods these are made of. These are more suited for BBQ cooking not smoking on my Traeger. Are is something in these pellets that TS does not what us to know?

Love the Flavor

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with these pellets, the seem to burn linger, thereby using less pellets, have far less dust byproduct in the bag, and crank up to high temps faster whenever I crank it all the way up to 500 degrees to put that reverse sear on my steaks after smoking them. And the flavor of these steaks is unmatched!

I used the HICKORY pellets first and was pleased with the outcome. I will be using the BBQ BLEND pellets next on my new PitBoss 1000D3 that I purchased at the same time as the 2 different pellet bags.
