Strawberry, botanically known as Fragaria, is a low-growing herbaceous, hybrid perennial of cultivated origin. It is grown in home vegetable gardens around the world for its magnificent tasting fruit. Plants will spread over time by over-ground runners that root forming new plants increasing its yield and harvest annually. Plants are five-petaled, producing flowers first which give way to fruit. With the high cost of fruits and vegetables in the grocery store, why not simply grow your own in your own back yard. You'll have much fresher cleaner food to eat, improving your health while saving money on groceries. Quinault is an everbearing strawberry variety which, as the name suggests, produces a first crop in spring and then subsequent crops at several week intervals throughout the summer well into fall. Everbearers are not sensitive to the length of day. This makes them desirable for gardeners who seek a supply of berries over a longer season instead of all at once. A Van Zyverden best seller and overal an excellent variety to grow due to its high yield, continuous fruit production and well-balanced flavor profile. A very popular choice for home gardeners to grow and highly adaptable throughout most of the USA. Multiple harvests throughout the growing season. Best enjoyed for fresh berry consumption.Ships to 48 contiguous US states, plus the District of Columbia EXCEPT IDAHO

Easy planting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally planted these today. It has been raining consistently here in Ny so it’s been a challenge. They look very healthy and am looking forward to watching them grow. They came shipped nicely in a bag with great directions.

Best starter kit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great starter kit to grow your own strawberries! The seeds are already mixed into the soil that’s provided, and the instructions are super easy, not complicated or excessive, clear precise and very easy to follow. They couldn’t make it any easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a great quality strawberry plant. Still waiting for them to grow to harvest. They should be ready in June. These were packaged very well when sent in the mail too.

Planted and Hopeful, Great Value and Well-Packaged

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently planted these Quinault everbearing strawberry seeds from Van Zyverden, and while I got a bit of a late start this season, I’m still excited to see how they do! The seeds arrived neatly packaged, clearly labeled, and in great condition, no crushed or dried out bits, which gave me confidence right away. Everything about the packaging felt professional and easy to work with. This is my first time growing strawberries from seed, and I appreciated that they were easy to handle. I planted them in pots, which makes this variety feel really versatile. I’m not a gardener, but it seems like this would be a great for gardeners with limited space or no traditional garden beds. The weather here has been unpredictable (still cold on some days!), but the seeds looked hearty and well-formed, so I’m hopeful they’ll develop into strong, durable plants once things warm up. I’m also reassured by Van Zyverden’s one-year growth guarantee, as long as directions are followed, which really adds value and peace of mind. I can’t comment on the scent yet (no blooms or fruit yet!), but I’ve read Quinault strawberries are wonderfully aromatic when ripe. Here’s hoping I’ll get to experience that firsthand later this year! All in all, a great start and I’m looking forward to updating once they sprout and (fingers crossed) produce delicious berries.
