This Water Source Replacement Switch for Pedestal Sump Pump is designed for pedestal sump pumps. The sump pump float switch is designed to turn the pump on and off depending on the water level. The pedestal replacement pump float switch is constructed of thermoplastic material.

- A: Yes it will work on rigid 1/2 hp pedestal sump pump. hold new switch next to old switch to see where screws go into new switch while keeping same switch placement for rod alignment. Then unplug... pull ball off rod... plug in and run pump to drain hole if intermitten switch start... unplug and pull rod off switch while also removing rubber grommit that turns switch on... unscrew 2 screws... note wire placement old switch.. place wires off old switch into new switch in same terminals.... put screws back in switch to mount to pump... plug in and try switch... if good... unplug... put rod back in with rubber grommit in right position for switch turn on.... attach ball... vise grips work great at turning rod into ball or preventing rod spin while attaching ball. Dumb big orange store dont stock this immediate need item.... I will be now going TSC first before dumb big orange store... thanks TSC for stocking important things...5 years agoHelpful?
